Does coughing up phlegm mean I have lung cancer? – Elwyn Cabebe, MD – Oncology

– Coughing up phlegm
does not necessarily mean that you have lung cancer. There are many common causes for a cough and phlegm production. Simple things as a virus
infection or pneumonia or even simple allergies. So if you continue to have
symptoms that are persistent or out of the ordinary
or just don’t feel right, I encourage you to see
your primary care physician for further evaluation.
